 Headache Hammock

An orthopedic traction headrest and serves as a natural remedy for headaches, certain migraines, upper neck pain and muscle tension. Designed using the occipital lift technique which is widely practiced by doctors and therapists for decades. The movement has been used clinically to help release muscle tension located in the upper cervical region.

Research has show muscle tension in the cervical region may be the leading cause of headaches, migraines and neck pain. By placing the head properly in the device, the high density foam will lift the head and mobilize the back of the skulled called the occiput. This allows the head to float free in space while applying gentle pressure to the muscular tension in the upper neck. Then the muscular tension will relax and the head will settle into the hammock device and this helps to rapidly improve pain.\

Additionally, the Headache Hammock may be warmed or cooled to enhance its therapeutic effect.

Great Tool For Massage Therapists!

Headache Hammock: Orthopedic Traction Headrest

The clients I have tried this product out and so far have been amazed at how it relaxes them. I usually start face up position for clients and after working on the upper body, I place the hammock under their necks while I work on their legs and feet (approximately 10 to 15 minutes). Taking it out before turning them over on their stomach. One had a severe headache at the start of the session and the other was one of my clients that doesn't relax easily mentally. Both said they just drifted off and headaches gone! :) Only wish they came with a washable covering. Thanks!
