After heating these as the instructions indicate (15 mins on high), they are too hot to put onto a client's feet. After lowering heat to medium and removing them, the client's feet don't feel heated evenly. You definitely want to put a liner over feet before placing in the bootie for hygienic safety.

These are the best. My feet feel like ice cycles at night, but now with these, my feet stay very warm and I sleep great. I've tried heating pads, microwavable heat packs, and other devices which don't work well. But these are perfect. They heat your feet all over, not just in one spot. One of my best purchases ever.
