Buyer Beware - But Not Totally Afraid

NRG Grasshopper Massage Chair

So, I read the mixed reviews here and elsewhere, and got the chair as part of the "BusinessStarter" package. If you're a 5'4 - 5'7 massage therapist, this won't be a problem, but it's almost impossible for a 6' male therapist to use this chair with proper body alignment. It's also a bit short for most men. Haven't had the issues with the stripped screws or bad velcro, but I can sure see it happening in the future. That being said for personal use, or for limited use (occasional onsite chair work) it's not bad. But I'd spend the money elsewhere if you plan on making regular use of it.

Doesn't easily adjust for varying heights, which is needed if your doing several chair massages back to back. If you've had a chance to check out a quality massage chair this just screams C-H-E-A-P - not the impression you want to give clients.

Waste of Money

Vinyl deteriorated quickly leaving "sticky" spots despite folllowing mfr's cleaning suggestions. Also the velcro beneath the set screw "rides" the frame preventing adjustment of face cradle without modification. Cheap!!! You get what you pay for.

velcro pushed itself up the frame eventually preventing adjustment of the chestplate/facerest.I had to remove the velcro and now the setscrew is slowly wearing through the frame. I have only used this chair maybe 200 times and wish I had spent more on a name brand The old adage you get what you pay for definitely applies here.

OK while it lasts - but that's not long

This chair isn't bad until it starts falling apart. You get what you pay for when it comes to massage chairs. I have had a few of these and they both had different problems which required either a repair, or rendered it useless. I'd save up for a better chair.
