Don't bother

NRG Premium Aluminum Headrest W/ Aromatherapy Arm

When I was in massage therapy school we worked with face rests that not only tilt to any angle they also adjust vertically. I never encountered a face rest that didn't' also adjust vertically and didn't know they were special or 'deluxe'. In my opinion there shouldn't even exist a face rest that doesn't do both. It's totally flat and goes below the table so your face has to dip below the table surface to be in it and it doesn't matter what angle you put it at it is still messing up the neck and back alignment. Maybe this is ok for small clients but for average size people and especially women it's very uncomfortable. I'll be honest I did get extra padding on my table so that might have something to do with it I'm not sure. Also for the full price it's ridiculous to get this one whereas a 'deluxe' headrest that adjusts both ways is only $4 more. At the sale price it might be reasonable, but as a massage therapist you want to make you clients feel comfortable and this will not do that for them. As for the aromatherapy arm I'm guessing it's the really cheap plastic thing that hangs down in my clients face that doesn't hold any weight. You can take it off but it's kind of a pain to get back on. I read some other reviews and saw that this was the new version of the old face rest and it's much more sturdier. I have not experienced the other but by the sound of it this version sounds much better in that respect.

NRG Premium Aluminum Headrest W/ Aromatherapy Arm

I am on my 3rd NRG headrest. The first was plastic and the company replaced it when it broke only a few months in. When the replacement broke, I purchased the aluminum one thinking it would be better. It is not. It collapses constantly and will not hold its place. I'm fed up!!!

NRG Premium Aluminum Headrest W/ Aromatherapy Arm

I bought this to replace a broken plastic unit. This is considerably stronger than the plastic head rest I replaced. I have no doubt this will last a long time.

NRG Premium Aluminum Headrest W/ Aromatherapy Arm

This model is 10 times better than the one that came with my NRG Karma table. I had to replace the one that the table came with because a client put all of her weight on it and broke it. This aluminum one is way more sturdy, the velcro doesn't come off and is all around nicer. It's actually worth buying this one just to replace your current one if it is giving you trouble.
