Oakworks Face Rest Pad Only

In response to the previous review, I would recommend they get a new face rest and/or cushion. I was gifted an older Oakworks table right out of massage school and used the face rest/cushion that came with it. It was older and stationary. When I purchased a new adjustable face rest and this cushion, the difference was night and day! If your existing cushion is spreading, make sure your velcro is still in good condition. If not, replace it all! I am highly satisfied with this cushion.

Oakworks Face Rest Pad Only

This is the cushion that came with the table I got through my massage school and it is the worst face rest pad on the planet! I have never been so mortified of the number if complaints from clients in my life. The hole position makes no ergonomic sense at all. The "cushion" has no give (squish) except to spread out at the base so your entire face falls through and you're constantly hovering over it to avoid it, or wriggling around to no avail trying to find a place where it isn't putting unnecessary pressure on cranial sutures. I've even added a 1" thick pad over the top and it doesn't make a difference at all. Think "pressing your face into the armrest of Grampa's antique leather office chair". Don't buy it and burn it if you already have one!
