Yellowing of Sheets
Pill Free Double Knit Cotton Sheet
First, these are the best sheets overall that I have used in my 25-year practice. I have placed 2 large orders for them a few years apart. They last "forever," are soft, and they do not pill. Most days we wash 6-12 sets, and 25 sets on Valentine's Day. The first group of sheets tended to turn VERY YELLOW overall but was worst where the client's body would contact it. NOTHING would get out the stains--bleach, ammonia, Oil Be Gone, OxyClean, borax, or detergents---and I soaked them for hours. The second group purchase of sheets seems to be a different knit and a little softer. They do not show significant yellowing, but I still see some oily stains in the area of the client's upper body placement. For the record, we use grape seed oil. And I must agree with others that the bottom sheet is a little small to cover my added table padding.
