A common method to relieve the excruciating pain of this condition is to stretch the ligament multiple times each day. Using a foot roller for 5 to 10 minutes daily will work to lengthen and strengthen the plantar fascia ligament providing much needed relief.

Typically plantar fasciitis pain is at its worst in the morning upon waking or after extended periods of inactivity.
