FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do you warm massage oil?
Although there are a number of different methods to keep your massage oil or lotion warm during a session, none will compare to using a bottle warmer made for exactly this purpose. Storing your bottle in a hot towel cabinet can be inconvenient and disrupting to your client; bowls of hot water cools down quickly, and warming between your hands may not give you enough of the desired effect. Single bottle or multi-bottle warmers are convenient to access, provide consistent warmth throughout the product, and will ensure your lubricant is the perfect temperature throughout multiple sessions.
Can I use a baby bottle warmer for massage oil?
Massage lubricants are not all created equally. Lotions and oils have varying melting, or in some instances, separation thresholds to consider. Using an adjustable temperature warmer made specifically for massage products will give you the flexibility to customize temperature for each massage lubricant as well as for each of your client’s preferences. Additionally, massage bottle warmers, unlike baby bottle warmers, have been created with long term use in mind keeping your products ready to go all day long.
Should I store essential oils in glass or plastic bottles?
Pure essential oils should be stored in dark, airtight glass bottles to prolong its potency and avoid deterioration or loss of efficacy. Diluted oils, including those mixed with massage carrier lotions, may be stored in plastic or aluminum bottles and conveniently kept close to the therapist using a massage lotion holster.
