FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What makes Resine' by HAIRAWAY superior to other waxing products?
Resine' by Hairaway soft wax is great for speed waxing and the pine resins help desensitize the skin, making the entire waxing process less painful and more comfortable than with other products. It is a stabilized wax that does not change consistency or crystallize and is easily removed with depilatory strips. It is also available in a hypoallergenic formula with 100% hydrogenated esters of resin. These high-quality esters make the wax less sticky, which in turn translates into a much cleaner finish than usual.
Resine' by HAIRAWAY Brazilian blue wax is less brittle than its competitors, it does not get stringy, and can be applied in a thin, flexible layer that dries very fast. Besides these, calendula hard wax also features antiseptic, anti-fungal, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties, moisturizes the skin, and greatly reduces the pain usually associated with waxing.
How do you prep the skin for hard wax treatments?
First of all, the skin has to be properly cleaned, so make sure you remove all makeup and excess oil with your favorite cleanser. The skin is then hydrated with a small amount of pre-treatment oil that is massaged into it before applying the warm wax. The same mineral oil can also be used post-treatment, removing excess wax and comforting the skin.
What is the difference between hard and soft wax?
Soft wax works better on large areas, like the back or legs, and is recommended for removing fine hairs. Since it adheres to the skin, it also has an exfoliating effect. This makes it more painful than using hard wax and not suitable for applying twice in the same area. On the other hand, Brazilian blue wax and calendula hard wax are gentle on the skin, which makes them more suitable for sensitive areas, like the face or the bikini line. They are also easier to clean up, leaving little residue on the skin, and do not require depilatory strips.
What is the best way to remove wax residue from the skin after treatments?
The best way to remove any excess wax from the skin is the Resiné By HAIRAWAY® Pre-Post Oil After Treatment. When used after treatments, it also calms and comforts the skin. It can just as well be used as a pre-treatment oil that hydrates and strengthens the skin before applying the Resine' by Hairaway Brazilian blue wax or calendula hard wax. Make sure you don't confuse it for Resiné By HAIRAWAY® Easy Clean. This is a cleaning product intended solely for waxing equipment, fabrics, and floors; it is not suitable for applying to skin.
Where can I buy Resine' by HAIRAWAY products?
You can buy Resine' by HAIRAWAY resin wax from MassageWarehouse.com, along with other depilatory products in their portfolio, like Brazilian blue wax, calendula hard wax, Resine' wax accessories, and waxing kits.
Do Resine' waxing products come in kits?
Yes, they do. The Resine' by Hairaway Green Pine Starter Kit contains two microwavable jars of Green Pine resin wax (18 oz each), 8.5 oz of pre-treatment gel that cleans the skin, 16 oz. of Resiné By HAIRAWAY® Cool Finishing Gel with aloe vera and glycerin, 300 double-woven depilatory strips for professional use, and 17 oz. of Resiné By HAIRAWAY® Pre-Post Oil After Treatment.
The best wax for sensitive skin can be found in the Creamy Sensitive starter kit which contains the same waxing supplies as the Green Pine kit, except for the wax, which is substituted with Resiné By HAIRAWAY® Creamy Sensitive Resin Wax. This is a soft, creamy, and hypoallergenic wax recommended for clients that tend to bump up easily, as it reduces irritation and redness in sensitive areas.
What accessories do I need to use wax beads?
Brazilian hard wax beads must be heated in a wax heater and they are not suitable for microwaves. Besides a wax heater, you will also need a skin cleanser, pre-post oil, a wax applicator, and a cool finishing gel that soothes the skin post-treatment. If you want to wax eyebrows, eyebrow applicators will also come in handy.
