CBD oil products can help pets with many of the same conditions that are treated in humans. Research shows that dogs and cats experience many of the same mental and physical health problems human beings do, and CBD oil may help treat anxiety, arthritis, joint pain, skin conditions, and more.

When using CBD oil, start with 1 - 2 mg of CBD oil for every 10 pounds of weight for both dogs and cats. Please keep in mind that CBD oils come in different concentrations and the label most often refers to the total amount of CBD in the bottle and NOT per dose. One dose should begin working about 30-45 minutes after ingestion and last anywhere from 4-8 hours depending on your dog’s size, activity level, and digestion rate.

The short answer is Yes! CBD oil drops for pets and humans are virtually identical; however, ingesting CBD dog treats or other forms of pet CBD is not recommended.

CBD oil will remain present in your pet’s system for about 24 hours but will most likely be effective on symptoms for 4 to 8 hours depending on your pet’s size, activity level, tolerance, and digestion rate. Younger animals tend to digest faster than older ones.
